Inaugural First-Responders Event – honoring Police Officers Memorial Day, Police Week and International Fire-Fighters Day, Co-Sponsored by Seattle IANDS
In a 1996 study by Dr. Kelly found as many as 28% of the First Responders studied reported sensing some sort of STE: presence or communication from the victims of traumatic deaths. The transition between physical life and post physical existence is not as defined as the cessation of sinus rhythm. In the United States there are approximately 237,000 traumatic deaths yearly (170,000 accidental, 19,000 firearms, 48,000 suicides) where the transitions are abrupt.

Reinerio “Rey” Hernandez is one of the co-chairs of CCRI, the Consciousness and Contact Research Institute. CCRI is in the process of establishing a 5 year comprehensive academic research study to understand the interrelationship between “Experiencers” of the Contact Modalities – individuals that have had contact with Conscious Intelligence via Near-Death Experiences, Out-of-Body Experiences, UFOs/UAPs, Ghosts/Spirits, Remote Viewing, Hallucinogenic Experiences, Channeling, and other PSI and Paranormal experiences.

Kundalini energy activates profound changes in the body, mind and spirit. It triggers the reorganization of our energy field, and as it evolves, disrupts our sense of self. When we are able to develop a positive relationship with our awakened energy field, old patterns and beliefs are cleared away and a new openness and quality of presence becomes possible.
Hosted by San Diego IANDS – Co-Hosted by Spiritual Awakenings International
Many NDE researchers have speculated about the possible relationship between Near-Death Experiences and Kundalini Awakenings as described in the yogic tradition. In this seminar Dr. Yvonne Kason shared her conclusions from 40 years of kundalini and NDE research.
In English-speaking countries there is rarely any mention of spiritually-transformative events and little training for those who are gifted sensitives to harness their abilities. Brazilian Spiritists recognize those people who are gifted sensitives and in spiritual emergence and offer free training and help to stay in balance. Their paradigm of care has been cultivated since the 1860s. This presentation described what these Spiritists do and the successes they have had so we can import some of their wisdom to improve our healthcare systems.
Dr. Yvonne Kason MD has 40 years experience counseling and researching persons with Near-Death Experiences (NDEs) and other Spiritually Transformative Experiences (STEs). Propelled by a powerful Near-Death Experience in a 1979 medevac plane crash and her psychic awakening afterwards, she began to research NDEs and other STEs. In this presentation Dr. Kason shared the story of her most recent NDE in 2003, and shared the conclusions from her 40 years of research into NDEs and STEs.
